[/size]ARTEMIS NOELLE GREENETHIS IS THE LIFE
Nicknames: art, arty
Age: nineteen
Gender: female
Orientation: straight
Instrument: Lead Vocals
Band: FADED MEMORIES
Personality: Artemis is a very bubbly and overall nerdy tomboy girl. And while she might know the answer the any question pertaining to comics, graphic novels or video games actually knowing how to act when it comes to guys being more than friends she’s know too much. It's always been easy for her to able get along with guys a bit more than girls purely because of her carefree tomboy attitude, and her personality that’s always on the go and full energy bouncing off the walls. Although at times being 'too tomboy' has been a blessing and a curse as she's always too shy to step away from it if she likes someone and knows she would just get laughed at if someone saw her trying to get 'dolled up' like another girl. She’s always been viewed more as one of the boys than ever as a possible consideration as a date for someone, she’s typically always been that girl that ends up talking with her guy friends when they end up having a problem with a girl. sometimes she wishes a lot she hadn't gotten herself into that label where more often then not guys wouldn't even consider her as a possible date. Whenever she gets excited about something usually a new comic or something else related or even when she's had too much coffee she will start talking rather quickly in an animated fashion and sometimes bouncing on her heels.
Artemis has another side of her, one that she keeps hidden from the rest of the world, she lets everyone see what she wants them to see of her and although she might appear close friends with someone she’s still always a bit distant in some way with people in terms of never actually letting them in 100% of getting to know her. She does have a lot of anger and sadness kept inside her and she’s plagued with night terrors periodically every now and then. Plenty times she’s always gotten told she so nice and seems innocent or something similar, one instance of letting people see what she wants. It’s very not in Artemis’ nature to snap at people and bitch them out or get in physical fights it would take a very very big push for her to cross that line, but she does very much have the capability of being volatile that would surprise everyone coming from the short bubbly girl.
Likes: comic books, wonder woman, writing & playing music, performing, learning new instruments, tattoos, art, video games, piercings, music, graphic novels, kick boxing
Dislikes: drama, catty girls, the smell of cigarettes, drugs, her height, people looking through her sketchbook, someone deleting her high score in a game, anyone who messing with the tuning of her instruments, broken guitar strings, high heels or anything else 'girly', being touched in any manner that's more than a hug
Goals: try to come to terms with her past, become a sucessful major and respected musician, find her birth mother
Fears: people walking out of her life, intimate relationships
Secrets: her real name cassidy rose tyler, has been sexually and physically abused for most of her life
Appearance: Artemis has long black hair that frames her face and green eyes. A beautiful array of tattoos decorates her body, some showing off her true nerdy nature. Normally she has glasses she’ll wear, she was a wide collection of funky ones that she could wear a different pair every day of the week. She does have contacts but it’s a rare occasion that you will catch her wearing them, she can’t stand having to take the extra time out to put them in and deal with them. Her clothing style is much compared to that of 'scene-emo' anything that is comfortable. She has never been seen in a pair of heels let alone even a dress. Artemis stands rather quite short at only 4’’9’ and weighs next to nothing at just a mere 98lbs and has gotten used to over the years of the joke and being people’s arm rests. Artemis has never been a girly-girl, she’s definitely more the tomboy she’s never worn a dress in her life let alone even a pair of high heels, she wouldn’t even know how to walk properly in a pair of them and more than likely end up breaking an ankle. This girl over the years has always preferred to go ‘au natural’, no one who knows her has ever seen wear anything more than a little cover-up at times, part of her finds it just putting on another face and being fake and the other has just gotten so caught up with this tomboy image she’s created for herself she’s a little intimidated by anything feminine like that.
History: Artemis was born in the mid-evening hours on January 1st, 1992 in New York City. When she was only six months old she was found wrapped up in blankets placed inside a basket and just dumped inside a garbage dumpster. It was from then on that Artemis began her tumultuous hell through the foster care system. Between the ages of five and eighteen she has lived in several different households throughout New York City and the surrounding suburb areas.
School began to become to the only place she felt like she feel safe and around the age the eight or nine she began making up excuses with teachers to stay late after class. It was through one of these such instances that she got her chance at learning her first instrument, the piano. She had a music teacher by the name of Mrs. Fallows, whom she had begged and pleaded with to let clean up room and do little things for her like if she would show her a few things with the piano. By the time she reached her early teens she had taken her knowledge of the piano and applied it towards playing both the keytar and keyboard that she would mess around on when she would stop by this little music store rather regularly and just test out the different instruments for hours.
Guitar was the second instrument that she learned when she was ten that after watching countless music videos and constantly walking past a pawnshop on the way back home from school. She finally ended up stopping inside the store and purchasing a simple acoustic guitar for only fifty bucks, it was a left-handed Ibanez guitar. It just so happened though the family she happened to be living with at the time didn’t seem to appreciate her playing the guitar. She had been threatened a few times to cut it before her foster-father grabbed her roughly twisted her arm behind her back hard until there was a snap and then was shoved rather to the floor and then just as he was walking away the man made sure to step on Artemis’ hand with his heavy steel toe boots as he walked out of the room. It was through this happening that Artemis quickly forced herself to become adept with being both left and right handed in terms of both writing and playing musically because that definitely would not be the last time she would be at a hospital for broken bones.
Growing up Artemis tried to keep to herself as much as possible, it always seemed the only thing she could rely on with her music and her art that could literally pull her into a whole other world where she didn’t have to feel pain. She gradually became used to the feeling of having to pack up her things constantly and having people abandon and walk out of her life. When she was sixteen she was lucky enough to get a job as a receptionist at a small music school that held classes in the afternoons and evenings. Through help from one person there who had taken to seeing she had a passion for music while hearing her play the guitar one afternoon helped give her a few pointers whenever he had time. Artemis has become a natural with picking up musical instruments easily over the years, immediately begging someone who taught at the school to teach her the electric violin the minute she heard the beautiful sounds wafting from one of the rooms.
At school she had been approached a few people who gradually became her friends to join a band with them as hearing the girl alone in the auditorium or anywhere around the school for that matter wasn’t really a rare occurrence. It had taken her a bit of coaxing to actually agree to join in with but finally did so.

Artemis smirked running a hand through her hair at her friend’s question. “Hmm, well I got no answer and from what I’ve seen no answer has typically meant you’re busy…..with someone.” She teased laughing a bit. “Ugh, tell me about it, I’ve been across nearly every stretch of land of this god forsaken state it seems like sometimes.” Artemis sighed rolling her eyes. “Jersey and I haven’t always been on the best of terms.” She added trying to make a joke. “Zach can usually find out about some secret underground shows that I go along and then whenever Charlie is doing her dj thing somewhere I always go with here.” She added casually. A bit of a grin crossed her lips “Hey, have you ever been out on a snowmobile?” she asked suddenly an idea forming in her head.
Slipping the strap of her guitar over her head, Artemis strummed over the strings pausing again to adjust the tuning just a little. Artemis made a face when Travis listed off musicians “Well I’m sure I can guarantee I’m not like either of them. I’ve never really been a Demi fan.” She commented shuddering a little. She had always been against a lot of the Disney manufactured ‘music’ that had been coming out lately, her opinion was just that it seemed like there was no soul to any of it, that it was just fake. Artemis smiled feeling herself blush just a tiny bit at the compliment that was directed towards her.
“Well maybe you’re right. I ended up actually getting a second voicemail from this Ryan Taggert guy this morning. I’m really thinking of giving him a call back at least by the end of the week.” Artemis commented. Part of the reason she knew she had been dancing around getting back this person was because her senior year was winding down fairly quickly now and she had absolutely no idea what to do afterward. You would think that would give her a good enough reason to jump at this chance, but Artemis had always been one that spent a great deal of time weighing her options when it came to a decision. Obviously she loved making music, but the one other thing that was like her second love in her life was art and there was a part of her that was perhaps afraid that if she went ahead to become a real musician that would loose her chance with her artwork and wouldn’t be able to do both. At the same time however, Artemis knew more than anything she wanted to get out of Jacksonville, hell she wanted to get out of New Jersey, she wanted to travel, see the world and being musician there was obviously that plus for her, with being able to tour and see everything she wanted to.
“You sure I won’t cramp your style or anything like that?” she asked grinning when Travis mentioned about hanging out during the upcoming summer tours. “But I do agree, we should definitely write something awesome for all this.” She added. “But no ‘ridiculous club music’ I can definitely cope with that, I’ll admit some those type of tunes are alright as a guilty pleasure but most of it is just crap that makes no sense.” She commented. Thinking about ‘ridiculous club music’ had her immediately thinking of that Ke$ha chick, who honestly she still had no idea how to pronounce her name always hearing two different version so often, the music industry definitely could do without that chick in her opinion.
